Your family's data stays yours
Napling is a baby sleep tracker. To do that job it stores information about you and your baby. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, or the identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google, and the name you give.
- Your baby's details: the name, date of birth and sex you enter (you can choose not to say).
- Logs: sleeps, feeds, diapers and notes you or your caregivers record, with who recorded them.
- Caregivers: who you've invited to share your baby.
- Purchases: your subscription status. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Usage and diagnostics: which screens and features are used, and crash reports, so we can fix problems and improve the app.
- This website: which pages are visited and which links are clicked, counted without cookies or any storage on your device. We don't identify you, and unique visitors are counted with an anonymous hash that changes daily.
How we use it
- To run the app: storing your logs, predicting naps, sending the reminders you turn on, and syncing between caregivers' phones.
- To check and restore your subscription.
- To find bugs and understand which parts of Napling help parents most.
- To answer you when you write to support.
Who we share it with
Only the caregivers you invite can see your baby and their logs. We use these service providers to run Napling, and they process data only on our behalf:
- Supabase: account sign-in and secure storage of your data.
- RevenueCat: subscription status.
- PostHog: product analytics for the app, and cookieless visit counts for this website.
- Google Firebase: app analytics and crash reports.
- Apple and Google: only if you choose to sign in with them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account. You're signed out everywhere straight away. If you sign in again within 30 days, the deletion is cancelled. After 30 days your personal details (email, name and sign-in methods) are permanently removed. Logs you recorded for a baby shared with other caregivers stay with that baby, shown as from a "Deleted user", so the family's history isn't broken.
Children
Napling is for parents and caregivers, not children. Information about a baby is entered by their adult caregivers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how we use it. Write to hello@napling.app and we'll help.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
